India is a country with a rich tapestry of religions, castes, and cultures, embracing diversity as a core value. Upholding the principle of unity in diversity is fundamental to our identity. Any form of discrimination based on disability, physical limitations, or minority status violates the principles of equality and human rights. To address issues affecting students and staff from Schedule Caste/Schedule Tribe, Other Backward Caste, minorities, persons with disabilities (PWDs), and women, the college has constituted the Equal Opportunity Cell (EOC) as under:

The Committee shall meet at least twice in a year to review the activities of the cell and solve the problems if any.
Vision for Equal Opportunity Cell:
To instil in the students a free spirit and unbiased nature towards treatment of fellow-beings in order to build an environment of equality and equity that co-exist together in harmony.
Aim of Equal Opportunity Cell:
The Equal Opportunity Cell ensures to create an educational environment that is open to all students and faculty without discrimination on the basis of age, race, colour, national origin/ancestry, religion, sex or gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, mental or physical disability.
Scope of Equal Opportunity Cell:
The scope lies in creating an atmosphere of equality with special privileges to the least advantaged groups of the educational institution. In order to raise awareness among college students, the society also concentrates on academic discussions. Extracurricular activities are carried out in order to raise awareness and understanding within the student body.
Objectives of Equal Opportunity Cell:
- To ensure the equity and equal opportunity of the community at large in the college and bring about the social inclusion.
- To enhance the diversity among the students, teaching and non-teaching staff and eliminate the discrimination or harassment.
- To create a socially congenial atmosphere for academic interaction and for the growth of healthy interpersonal relationships among the students coming from various social backgrounds.
- To identify the issues in the campus and to provide an enabling and non-discriminative environment for all.
- To promote inclusive policies and practices for all on the campus.
- To look into the grievances and ensure equality and equal opportunities to the disadvantaged group on campus through proper implementation of policies, skills, and programs of society.
- To disseminate the information related to schemes, programs, notifications, office orders of the Govt., related to welfare of target groups from time to time.
- To promote diversity and inclusive practices on campus and provide the underprivileged groups with adequate opportunities.
- Safeguard the interest of students without any prejudice to their caste, creed, religion, language, ethnicity, gender and disability.
- To accelerate the need for an equal and fair environment for all by organizing activities and events that raise awareness about a fair and just society.
- To provide auxiliary support towards skill development and enhancing employability of students.
- To engage the students in outreach activities to sensitise them towards the downtrodden.
- To expedite legal redressal in matters of violation of equal opportunity.
